We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that all of our troops serving in Iraq have made their transitions home safely. We welcome them, their families, friends and supporters to ArmedZilla where we're helping them transition and find new opportunities in 2012.
New ArmedZilla features deployed
We're pleased to announce some great new features that make connecting the military community even better. Many of you have been diligently submitting your thoughts, suggestions and, yes, even a few bugs that got away from us. When you sign in next, you'll find some new ways to connect and interact:
Sign in using your Facebook account (optional) - Now you can link your ArmedZilla account with your Facebook account which enables you to sign in using either account. Additionally, whenever you are signed into Facebook, you are signed into ArmedZilla automatically.
Comment on Activity Feed content - Now when you see something that interests you in your Activity Feed (HOME), you can comment on it right then and there.
Interact on Channel "walls" - We've given every Channel an Activity Feed so members can participate in conversations within a Channel.
Image uploader: FIXED - We appreciate your patience with this one (and trust us, it bugged us most of all). Thanks to your help in providing feedback and errors when trying to upload images around the site, we've rebuilt the image upload function to accommodate all of your file type and platform-specific bugs.
ArmedZilla and Shape Up US: New Year! New You!
ArmedZilla and ShapeUp US proudly present the New Year! New You! program. The program is designed to help four Phoenix veterans improve their lifestyles in the New Year, including getting physically, financially and mentally in shape.
NBC News 12 Phoenix is closely following the program which airs on its station in six weekly segments. The program kicked off December 29.

The ArmedZilla KeyPoints™ All Star Challenge – one lucky vet or service member can win an iPad2!
We challenged our members to share their stories of service through KeyPoints — and they're doing it! We are currently running our first ever contest, the ArmedZilla KeyPoints All Star Challenge! This contest spotlights ArmedZilla KeyPoints and our new "star" feature. Stars allow members to show their support of KeyPoints that they like. If you were touched, impressed, astounded or just found a KeyPoint funny — "star" it.
The contest started on December 12, 2011 and will run through February 4, 2012. We will announce the winner on Super Bowl Sunday! The KeyPoint that accumulates the most stars during the contest period will win the member a shiny new iPad2 letting the winner have more fun with ArmedZilla!

Here are some tips to creating meaningful KeyPoints that could potentially earn more stars:
- Write a great KeyPoint from the heart — share your experiences honestly and in your own words
- Include a picture — a picture tells a story that words cannot
- Tell friends and family to visit your KeyPoints and star their favorites
- Share KeyPoints with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter and through email using the sharing toolbar we’ve built right in
- A member can star as many KeyPoints as they like, but can only give one star per KeyPoint; a member can also un-star a KeyPoint if they change their mind
Every KeyPoint on ArmedZilla is eligible for the contest, but only the best of the best will win.
